This is a server configuration problem.

Are you installing this in a paid web host or something locally or what?

Same issue here. Installing locally on turnkeylinux LAMP server (Debian-based). Ran install.php and received "BAD" status for cURL and permissions. I resolved the permissions issues, but the cURL problem still remains. Verified that cURL is installed and latest version. What should I try next?

    Thanks in advance!

I solved my own problem. An old posting referenced modules that were required. I installed php5-curl on my system and resolved the issue. If that specific issue could be documented in the error message, it would help the new users and save some time and frustration.

Product itself looks really good once I have it working!!! Thanks!

Yes, installed on local host (TurnkeyLinux LAMP server). Apparently php5-curl was not included in the TkL build and needed to be installed manually to pass the FCMS cURL test during installation.
