Step 1) Have a domain or subdomain
Step 2) Create dbase, add user to dbase, set all privileges
Step3) go to your web address and run install
I installed trough Softaculus at my hosting service - the easy way.
php5.6+. I have 7
I had set the php to 5.6 when I installed the FCMS. I was installing some other script that require v7 and I "bumped" to v7. Latter on I went to my web site where I had installed the FCMS and worked good. The only problem I had was one test user that I could not log in. I remove and add that user and everything works fine. My current version of php is 7.0. If you want, I can install test web site under 7.0 and see if will install trough cpanel. Most of the software will not install and will complain about php version. I can do manual install to to see if will work.
Just for the "kick" I run installation trough cpanel vith v7.0(Softaculus) and went fine. Runs ok. Then I run manual and went fine too with v7. Test site is at http://test.jestarkel.com. There is absolutely no problem with cpanel or manual installation. Some people may be "spook" by the message at first during manual installation, just click on the link below and will proceed with the installation.
I can see how this manual installation maybe confuse for some people. In index.php line 92 error message. I would change to "click here to continua installation. Most of the scripts - that I installed - goes directly to install folder or redirected to install. Latter on (after installation) will have to remove the file or folder. Your script go to index.php and then to install.php. It is OK, but someone may cause harm. Someone my run the link to install.php and mess up the web site. I would recommend to rename the install.php after installation.
